Jennifer A. Doudna is a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Investigator and Li Ka Shing Chancellor's Chair in Biomedical and Health Sciences at UC Berkeley. She is a molecular biologist who studies RNA-mediated control of the genome, including CRISPR-Cas bacterial adaptive immunity and related systems. She is also interested in engineering CRISPR-Cas proteins for new purposes and applications.
