I have a 1999 Polaris Explorer 300 4x4 that currently has a fuel leak I’m trying to fix, so it’s completely torn apart right now. But as I was taking it apart I thought about replacing the old halogens with LEDs. I was able to find the rear light bulb as an LED, but ...Personally I wouldn't take a chance. I had a 96 300 Xplorer and the fan came on a lot when running hard. Towing will definitely heat it up quick. The chance you're taking is seizing the engine causing a new top end best case. It has to be set just right. The rod end at the shifter will be left hand thread. Disconnect the rods from the shifter. I think it is hung up in 2 gears low and reverse.
